The Scotia-Glenville Tartans will head out on the road to square off against the Fonda-Fultonville Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Scotia-Glenville's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches.
In what's become a running theme this season, Scotia-Glenville gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Johnstown 71-11 on the road. Given Scotia-Glenville's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 256th, while the Sir Bills are ranked 601st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Scotia-Glenville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Karaline Mccarthy out in front who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jess Bodden, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Fonda-Fultonville's game last Monday was all tied up 17-17 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. The matchup between them and Cobleskill-Richmondville wasn't particularly close, with Fonda-Fultonville falling 41-26.
Scotia-Glenville is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Fonda-Fultonville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
