The Forsyth Panthers will square off against the Sparta Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Tuesday, Forsyth beat Reeds Spring 10-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Lauren Turner made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted over her last nine matchups. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.
In other batting news, Forsyth let Zoe White and Lili Roberts run wild. White went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI, while Roberts went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI Roberts has posted over her last ten contests.
Meanwhile, Sparta entered their tilt with Seymour on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 15-6 margin over the Tigers. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.
Addie Humble spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, Layne Forgey and Kinsley Berry did most of the damage at the plate: Forgey got on base in two of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Berry went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Raylee Dorman, who earned one RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Sparta pushed their record up to 7-9 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Forsyth, their win bumped their record up to 10-14.
Wednesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Forsyth has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .446. However, it's not like Sparta struggles in that department as they've averaged .462. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Forsyth took their victory against Sparta when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 11-3 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
