Softball Recap: Bell City Has No Trouble Against Lacassine

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bell City). They put the hurt on the Lacassine Cardinals with a sharp 15-4 win on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Bruins with their most commanding win of the season.

Bell City got a big performance out of Kenadie Armentor, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. That's the most hits Armentor has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Emma Williams, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Bell City always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Bell City has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Lacassine and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bell City will challenge Kaplan at 5:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for Lacassine, they will face off against Hathaway at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lacassine has given up an average of 8.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
