The Nash Central Bulldogs will challenge the Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nash Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.4 runs per game this season.
Nash Central will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against North Pitt on Wednesday. Nash Central blew past North Pitt 11-1. Considering the Bulldogs have won five games by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
RYLEE BREWER made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. BREWER was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on GRACYN KING, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. RAYLEIGH SUMMERLIN was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
Nash Central hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Roanoke Rapids, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against Bunn by a score of 4-1 on Wednesday. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
Madison Jones spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Kyla Odom was excellent, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamryn Johnson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Nash Central has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Roanoke Rapids struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
