Pass Christian and St. Martin are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2017, but not for long. The Pass Christian Pirates will head out on the road to face off against the St. Martin Yellow Jackets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pass Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings (they are ranked 148th, while St. Martin is ranked 34th).
Pass Christian's 14-5 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They were dealt a 52-23 loss at the hands of Natchez on Saturday.
Meanwhile, St. Martin waltzed into their match Tuesday with four straight wins but they left with five. They blew past Gulfport 69-27 on the road. The result was nothing new for St. Martin, who have now won eight contests by 32 points or more so far this season.
Pass Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for St. Martin, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3.
Pass Christian beat St. Martin 47-39 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pass Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
