The Mooreville Troopers will square off against the Corinth Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Corinth will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Mooreville extended their winning streak to four on Saturday. The Troopers came out on top against Mantachie by a score of 14-9. That's two games straight that the Troopers have won by exactly five runs.

Eli McDaniels was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. McDaniels was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs and six RBI while going 2-for-2. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Ethan Cates and Cooper Goff did most of the damage at the plate: Cates went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Goff got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
Mooreville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mantachie only posted a batting average of .233.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Corinth's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They came up short against Lewisburg, falling 16-10.
Grady Mitchell was cooking despite his team's loss, going 4-for-5 with three runs, three doubles, and three RBI. He has become a key player for Corinth: the team is 6-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-6 otherwise. Tucker Skelton was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Corinth's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Mooreville, their win bumped their record up to 13-4.
Mooreville suffered a grim 12-5 defeat to Corinth in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Troopers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
