A Season-Best Effort from Elias Johnson Leads Saguaro over Chaparral
Saguaro was led to victory by Elias Johnson, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Johnson rushed for 201 yards while picking up 11.2 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 58 yards.
Saguaro moved to 1-6 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak. Johnson's next contest is against Liberty on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid performance.

It was an underclassman who stole the show on Friday as Cam Allen came into the matchup on a mission. He was unstoppable, throwing for 260 yards and three touchdowns.

Rounding off our Top Five is Brody Johnson of Liberty. Johnson wasn't messing around on Friday, picking up 1.5 sacks and making 11 total tackles (3.5 for loss). The matchup was his fourth straight with eight or more total tackles.
Liberty's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Johnson and Liberty will square off against Saguaro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
