On Saturday Franklin will take on Newfound Regional at 2:00 PM. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
Franklin got themselves on the board against Raymond last Friday, but Raymond never followed suit. Franklin put a hurting on Raymond to the tune of 38-0. The win was familiar territory for Franklin, who now have five in a row.
Meanwhile, Newfound Regional put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They were the clear victor by a 42-8 margin over Farmington/Nute. Newfound Regional were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Their wins bumped Newfound Regional to 4-1 and Franklin to 5-0. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Newfound Regional and Franklin will really light up the scoreboard.
