Tri-County - Stone recap October 29, 2013
Kennedy moved up to 856 from 900 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Tri-County - Stone. The Eagles climbed the ranks as a result of besting Swett 52-8.
Hercules extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating De Anza, 68-0. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
Hercules' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Titans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. LOUIS MICHAEL has thrown for 682 yards and 4 touchdowns this season, while ANTWUIN PROWES has 26 catches for 523 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Hercules takes on second place Swett. Last week, Hercules beat the Dons, while the Indians fell to Kennedy.
Fans will be treated to a premier battle in the secondary when Gerald Montgomery's team's PROWES goes up against Swett's James Sykes.
Next week's game between the Titans and Josh Vallis' team will feature an aerial matchup as MICHAEL tests his arm against Sykes' defensive ability.
There should be lots of points scored when the Indians and Hercules face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Swett comes in having scored 70 this season, while the Titans have scored 279. The Indians scored 8 points last week as they fell to Rae Jackson's team.
Hercules took down De Anza 68-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
