Gloria Deo Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as First Baptist Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
First Baptist Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Matthew Levine, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Noah Napier, who scored 13 points.
Gloria Deo Academy bumped their record down to 2-9 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for First Baptist Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-8.

Geneva presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than First Baptist Academy in Texas (Geneva is ranked 415th, while First Baptist Academy is ranked 1154th).
