Given Worthington Kilbourne's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 311th, while Westerville North is ranked 638th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Worthington Kilbourne was led to victory by Oliviah Wilkerson and Lilly Schultheis. Wilkerson dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds, while Schultheis scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Schultheis is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Bella White, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Worthington Kilbourne has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season. As for Westerville North, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Worthington Kilbourne will head out on the road to square off against Westerville South at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Westerville South focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday. As for Westerville North, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dublin Scioto at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dublin Scioto is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.6 points per game.
