The Somerset Academy Panthers will face off against the Keys Gate Knights at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Somerset Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.
Somerset Academy will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Yulee on Thursday. The Panthers walked away with a 12-7 victory over the Hornets. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Matthew Fari?as was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Kareem Amer looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Somerset Academy got a massive performance out of Brady Kenhan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was Kenhan's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jon Mora, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, three stolen bases, and two runs.
Somerset Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Keys Gate's offense. They fell just short of Mater Lakes Academy by a score of 1-0 on Monday. The Knights have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Osmar Mena was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits.
Somerset Academy's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Keys Gate, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
Somerset Academy's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's contest. The Panthers have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.8 stolen bases per game.
