For the first time this season, Summit will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out on the road to square off against the Glenwood Springs Demons at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Summit will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Last Friday, Summit needed a bit of extra time to put away Evergreen. They walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Cougars.

Sam Eldredge made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 14 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those three doubles gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hogan Tobias, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Forrest Downing was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.
Summit kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive contests.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Glenwood Springs and Roaring Fork, and Roaring Fork kept the tradition alive. The Demons fell 6-3 to the Rams on Saturday. The game marked the Demons' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.
Josh Doll and Evan Neuman stepped up to the plate in a big way. Doll went 1-for-4 with one triple and two RBI, while Neuman scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Summit pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Glenwood Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
Glenwood Springs' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Summit hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .341. It's a different story for Glenwood Springs, though, as they've only averaged .221. Will they be able to contain Summit's hitters?
Summit couldn't quite get it done against Glenwood Springs in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 7-2. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
