The Carson Colts lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Friday was a bit more commanding. They were the victim of a rough 80-55 loss at the hands of San Pedro. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Carson in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now lost seven in a row.
Despite the loss, Carson still got an impressive performance from Jacob Ortega, who scored 32 points. Ortega is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Curtis Sproull Jr., who scored six points.
Carson's loss dropped their record down to 10-16. As for San Pedro, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season.
Carson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. San Pedro will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Yankees at 4:00 p.m. Hopefully Hamilton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Friday.
