The Dalhart Wolves pushed their score all the way to 45 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 53-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Muleshoe. It was the first time this season that Dalhart let down their fans at home.
Daniel Sianez got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 208 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.2 yards per carry. Sianez was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 61 yards. Josue Sigala was another key contributor, rushing for 107 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries.
Dalhart's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Muleshoe, their victory was their sixth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 8-2.
Dalhart will take on Denver City at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Denver City is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games. As for Muleshoe, they will head out on the road to face off against Lamesa at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Lamesa will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1068th, while Muleshoe is ranked 404th).
