St. Joseph will look to defend their home turf on Friday against River Oaks at 7:00 PM. St. Joseph have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
While not quite a landslide, the match between St. Joseph and Bayou Academy last week was still a pretty decisive one as St. Joseph wrapped it up with a 26-7 win. Junior Dillon Johnson was the offensive standout of the match for St. Joseph, as he rushed for 172 yards and 2 touchdowns. In fact, with 10 tackles Johnson was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, River Oaks might have drawn first blood against Copiah Academy, but it was Copiah Academy who got the last laugh. River Oaks took a 21-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of Copiah Academy.
St. Joseph's victory lifted them to 3-1 while River Oaks's defeat dropped them down to 2-2. We'll find out if St. Joseph can add another positive mark to their record or if River Oaks can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of St. Joseph's step.
