Emmett has won three straight games at home, while Middleton has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Emmett Huskies will welcome the Middleton Vikings at 7:30 p.m. Both are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Emmett is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Vallivue: they outscored them in every quarter. Emmett put the hurt on Vallivue with a sharp 47-26 win on Thursday. The Huskies pushed the score to 35-15 by the end of the third, a deficit the Falcons had little chance of recovering from.

Natalie Goslin continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. She has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more boards the last 11 times she's played. Erin Hadley was another key player, putting up five points and five steals.
Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Middleton on Wednesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Vallivue out of the water with a 90-9 final score. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 24 points or more this season.
Middleton's win came from a few key players Emmett will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Elsie Wyatt, who went 10 of 15 en route to 25 points and seven steals. Those 25 points gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoey Blackwell, who went 7 for 11 on her way to 15 points and eight steals.
Middleton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in three consecutive contests.
Emmett has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.8 points per game. As for Middleton, their victory bumped their record up to 18-1.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Emmett has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 30 boards per game. However, it's not like Middleton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33.6 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Emmett was taken down by Middleton 70-23 in their previous matchup on January 7th. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Emmett was down 46-13.
