Baseball Recap: Beth Tfiloh Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

There's no place like home for Beth Tfiloh, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They blew past the Chapelgate Christian Academy Yellowjackets 12-2 on Monday. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by ten runs or more this season.

Beth Tfiloh got a big performance out of Adam Steinberg, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple marked the first that Steinberg has hit this season. Ben Wahlberg was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Beth Tfiloh always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Beth Tfiloh pushed their record up to 7-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Chapelgate Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beth Tfiloh will welcome St. Frances Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Chapelgate Christian Academy, they will square off against Sts. Peter & Paul at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
