Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Myrtle Beach). They blew past the Carvers Bay Bears 72-43 on Friday. The Seahawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bears, too.

Carvers Bay's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kenard Heyward, who posted 18 points and three steals, and Christian Washington, who earned four points along with five boards and three steals.

The victory got Myrtle Beach back to even at 2-2. As for Carvers Bay, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Myrtle Beach will venture away from home to face off against Aynor at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Myrtle Beach has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Carvers Bay, they will head out to square off against Latta at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Carvers Bay is facing Latta at the right time seeing as Latta is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
