Freeman is 10-0 against Lakeside since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Freeman Scotties will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lakeside Eagles at 7:15 p.m.
Freeman managed to keep up with Clarkston until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Freeman suffered a tough 70-47 loss at the hands of Clarkston. Freeman has struggled against Clarkston recently, as their match on Saturday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Freeman saw an underclassman step up: Taylee Phelps scored 16 points. The contest was Phelps' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Semprimoznik, who scored 7 points.
Meanwhile, Lakeside had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on West Valley with a sharp 68-45 victory on Tuesday.
Their wins bumped Freeman to 2-2 and Clarkston to 5-0.
Freeman beat Lakeside 60-51 in their previous matchup back in February. Will Freeman repeat their success, or does Lakeside have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
