Garrison Forest has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Mount de Sales Academy Sailors at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
On Wednesday, Garrison Forest was the victim of a rough 44-19 loss at the hands of the Patriots.
Meanwhile, Mount de Sales Academy entered their tilt with the with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Mount de Sales Academy snuck past the with a 48-44 victory on Wednesday.
Shelby Lewis and Mackenzie Conley were among the main playmakers for Mount de Sales Academy as the former dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds and the latter scored 15 points along with six steals. Conley has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Katie Carroll, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds.
Garrison Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Mount de Sales Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.
Garrison Forest came up short against the Sailors in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 48-36. Thankfully for Garrison Forest, Caroline Sloop (who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
