Corona del Mar had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.5 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They came out on top against the Huntington Beach Oilers by a score of 71-63. Given the Sea Kings' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 55th, while the Oilers are ranked 340th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Corona del Mar's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.3 points per game. As for Huntington Beach, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-10.

Corona del Mar will be playing at home against Los Alamitos at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
