Virginia had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They took their game against Tazewell on Thursday 37-30. That result is just more of the same for Virginia, who also won the last time these teams played.
Tazewell's loss came about despite a quality game from sophomore Josiah Jordan, who picked up 83 yards on the ground and caught passes for 88 yards. Sophomore Chancellor Harris was in the mix, too, providing they with with 2 touchdowns. This was the first game for both teams, giving Virginia a 1-0 record and starting Tazewell off at 0-1.
Next week, Virginia take on Battle at 7:00 PM. As for Tazewell, they will face of against Graham.
