Joey Caldwell with 2:00 to go in the second quarter stood up for the duration of the game, as neither team managed to score in the second half.
Devan Raymer played well for Dresden in the victory. The senior running back ran for one touchdown.
The War Eagles' lone touchdown came on a 9-yard run in the second quarter.
DHS had given up an average of 10.2 points prior to the contest.
The Lions also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 39-7.
The loss comes after West Carroll defeated Gibson County 34-20 last week.
In a non-conference game next week Dresden (7-0) takes on Riverside, and West Carroll (5-2) will go up against Scotts Hill also in a non-conference game.
