Sarasota Christian got themselves on the board against The Classical Academy of Sarasota on Tuesday, but The Classical Academy of Sarasota never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 12-0 victory. Considering the Blazers have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Hayden Rogers made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Rogers was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Justin Brock, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Collin Lawson, who scored two runs and stole three bases.

The win made it two in a row for Sarasota Christian and bumps their season record up to 11-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for The Classical Academy of Sarasota, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sarasota Christian will be taking part in a tournament against Cambridge Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lancers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Blazers surely won't give up without a fight. As for The Classical Academy of Sarasota, they will take on Brevard HEAT in a tournament on Friday.
