They came out on top against Divine Savior Academy - Sienna by a score of 48-38. The squad ran away with 36 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.
Brazosport Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Elijah Burris out in front who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three blocks. Ethan Nelson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Divine Savior Academy - Sienna's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Abboud, who scored nine points along with 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Elijah Cortright, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Brazosport Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. As for Divine Savior Academy - Sienna, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brazosport Christian will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Beren Academy at 2:00 p.m. on January 25th. Beren Academy and Brazosport Christian are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. As for Divine Savior Academy - Sienna, they will head out on the road to square off against Living Stones Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
