Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Trinity Celtics walked away with it. They strolled past Plainville with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 25-6. The win was a breath of fresh air for Trinity as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Eric Armour had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also picked up 51 receiving yards. Armour was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 60 yards.
Trinity's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Matthew Mcconnaughy was especially locked on to Plainville's QB and sacked him twice.
Trinity's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Plainville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-5.
Trinity will head out on the road to face off against Medicine Lodge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Medicine Lodge will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Plainville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
