The Arcadia Apaches will venture away from home to face off against the Burroughs Bears at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Arcadia will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs back in March, then bounced right back against Glendale on Tuesday. The Apaches blew past the Nitros 11-3. The win continues a trend for the Apaches in their matchups with the Nitros: they've now won seven in a row.
Quinn Sullivan tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Arcadia let Addy Ruiz and Alyssa Cordeiro run wild. Ruiz went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one triple, while Cordeiro went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those two doubles gave Ruiz a new career-high. Arianna Barajas also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Arcadia was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, it may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Burroughs ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Muir, sneaking past 2-1.
Valentina Reyes spent all ten innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on eight hits and racked up six Ks.
At the plate, Karlee Earl was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Alyssa Morales was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one RBI.
Arcadia's record now sits at 8-6-1. As for Burroughs, their record is now 10-3.
Everything went Arcadia's way against Burroughs in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Arcadia made off with a 13-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Apaches since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
