The Central Rockets won the last time they faced the Northridge Knights, and things went their way on Saturday too. Central came out on top in a nail-biter against Northridge and snuck past 54-52. Given Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 121st, while Northridge is ranked 262nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Myles Lowe, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds. The match was his third in a row with at least ten points. Patrick Shell was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Central and bumps their season record up to 10-4. As for Northridge, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 10-4.
Central and Glenbard West will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Northridge's road trip will continue as they head out to face Chicago University at 6:30 p.m. on January 5th.
