  Addison Huber had an outrageously good game as he threw for 165 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 74 yards on only six carries. He didn't just play on offense: he also made a tackle and defended a pass in addition to snagging   an  interception. Another player making a difference was  Drea Villarreal, who rushed for 96 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
 South Newton's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for West Central, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.
 South Newton took a serious blow against West Central  in their previous meeting  back in September of 2023, falling  54-6. That  game was all but decided by halftime, at which point South Newton was down  48-6.
