The Sun Prairie West Wolves will head out on the road to square off against the Sun Prairie East Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Sun Prairie West comes in on seven and the Cardinals on six.
Even though Janesville Craig scored an imposing 77 points on Friday, Sun Prairie West still came out on top. Sun Prairie West strolled past the Cougars with points to spare, taking the game 91-77. That's two games straight that Sun Prairie West has won by exactly 14 points.
Chris Davis Jr continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 36 points along with four steals. That makes it 15 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Sun Prairie West's points. Another player making a difference was Tavian Crawford, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Sun Prairie East scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They put the hurt on Madison East with a sharp 103-81 victory. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Sun Prairie West pushed their record up to 14-2 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home. As for Sun Prairie East, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
Everything went Sun Prairie West's way against the Cardinals in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the Wolves made off with a 77-55 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sun Prairie West since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
