The Jordan Falcons are taking a road trip to challenge the Leesville Road Pride at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Leesville Road took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Jordan, who comes in off a win.
Jordan gave up the first runs last Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 10-7 victory over Chapel Hill. With that win, the Falcons brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

Carson Hickey looked comfortable as he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Jordan is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 3-4 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Jordan got a big performance out of Frankie Gilchrist, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Logan Greene, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Jordan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Leesville Road was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Cardinal Gibbons, falling 13-2.
Ben Fields was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Will Matthews also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
The victory made it two in a row for Jordan and bumps their season record up to 7-4. As for Leesville Road, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
Jordan's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's contest. Jordan has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.5 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Leesville Road, though, as they've been averaging only 1.1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Jordan continue to outrun the ball?
Jordan might still be hurting after the 14-4 loss they got from Leesville Road in their previous meeting on March 10th. Can Jordan avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
