After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sotomayor, the Dymally Challengers were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Dr. Maya Angelou Community 58-15 on the road. That 58-15 margin sets a new team best for Dymally this season.
Dymally's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gerald Coland, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds. Coland set a new season high mark in blocks with four. The team also got some help courtesy of Nyzear Hamby, who scored eight points along with 17 rebounds and three blocks.
Dymally's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Dr. Maya Angelou Community, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.
Dymally will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Aspire Ollin at 10:00 a.m. on January 4th. As for Dr. Maya Angelou Community, they will square off against Maywood CES at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
