Kodiak faced Homer in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Bears blew past the Mariners 18-0. The victory continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Mariners: they've now won seven in a row.

Kodiak's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Homer, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.
