Crossett extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 16-4 in the process. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 12-11 W against the Hamburg Lions. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-3 on April 1st.
Braelyn Campbell was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gracie Kilcrease, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Zoey Jones was another key player, firing off three triples, three runs, and one RBI while going 4-for-5.
Crossett was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
As for Hamburg, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. On the bright side, the 11- run effort marked their highest-scoring matchup to date.
On Hamburg's side, Melody Miller was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in two of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was E Tubbs, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.
Coming up, Crossett will head out to square off against Warren at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hamburg, they will welcome McGehee at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Owls have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.91 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of.
