Archbishop Wood barely beat Archbishop Carroll the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Vikings blew past the Patriots 13-3 on Wednesday. The Vikings have beaten the Patriots the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Patriots has come to flipping the script.

Brady Sell looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Archbishop Wood got a massive performance out of Zach Neeld, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Neeld has posted since back in March of 2024. Jimmy Casey also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.

Archbishop Wood hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Archbishop Carroll struck out 11 times.

Archbishop Wood's record now sits at 11-3. As for Archbishop Carroll, they dropped their record down to 7-8 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Archbishop Wood has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Holy Ghost Prep on the 1st. As for Archbishop Carroll, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-5 victory against Frankford on the 2nd.
