Mills has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Westmoor Rams at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Wednesday, Mills didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Capuchino, but they still walked away with a 42-36 win.
The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Jefriel Bacorro and Isaiah Cruz. Bacorro had a solid game and scored eight points. Meanwhile, Cruz did his best for the losing side, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Oceana typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Westmoor proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 68-61 win over the Sharks. The win was familiar territory for Westmoor who now have three in a row.
Danny Ugbaja was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 22 points along with two steals. Roman Banda was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with two steals.
Mills' record is now 4-12. As for Westmoor, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
Mills came up short against Westmoor in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 54-47. Thankfully for Mills, Trey Knight (who scored 23 points along with five steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
