Carver (Montgomery, Ala.) saw its 16-point lead dwindle to six, but still managed to hang on and upset
Spain Park (Hoover, Ala.) 26-20 on Saturday.
The Wolverines were up 26-13 at the half after taking the lead on a
Harvey Harris touchdown run in the first quarter.
Carver saw its 13-point halftime lead fall to six entering the fourth.
Dyllan Suttle made a difference for the Jaguars. The sophomore wide receiver threw one touchdown.
Harris played well for CHS in the victory. The senior running back ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored 22 touchdowns on the season.
The loss snapped Spain Park's 3-game winning streak.
