After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chester County, the Fayette Academy Vikings were happy to have found some success on Monday. They walked away with a 73-62 win over Central Baptist. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Clay Anderson was his usual excellent self, scoring 28 points along with 9 rebounds and 6 assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Fayette Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Harris Armour, who scored 21 points.
Fayette Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Central Baptist, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fayette Academy will take on Hardin County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hardin County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Fayette Academy likes a good challenge. As for Central Baptist, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Haven Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
