Cair Paravel (Topeka, Kan.) extended its winning streak to five games with a 40-20 victory over
Heartland Christian (Colby, Kan.) on Saturday.
The Lions led 6-0 at halftime, but the Crusaders recaptured the lead on a two-point conversion with 7:00 remaining in the third. Cair Paravel grabbed hold of the lead when
Triston Marsh ran for a touchdown with 6:00 remaining in the third quarter, and never relinquished it.
CP expanded its lead to 12 points entering the fourth quarter. The Topeka school scored three times in the third, including once on a Marsh touchdown run.
The loss was the fourth in a row for Heartland Christian.
