Abbeville Christian Academy had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They secured a 49-45 W over Ezekiel Academy on Thursday. The win was just what Abbeville Christian Academy needed coming off of a 51-31 defeat in their prior match.
Abbeville Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Anna grace Blalock out in front who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Blalock has scored at least a third of Abbeville Christian Academy's points. Amari George was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Lakeside School was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 51-50 to Chambers Academy. Lakeside School has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Chloe Helms put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 25 points. That was a full 50% of Lakeside School's points, marking the ninth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Seaborn, who scored 12 points.
Abbeville Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Lakeside School, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.
Abbeville Christian Academy might still be hurting after the 51-31 defeat they got from Lakeside School in their previous meeting on Tuesday.
