The Jackson Timberwolves and the Skyline Spartans will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Cascade scored an imposing 55 points on Saturday, Jackson still came out on top. Jackson took their match against Cascade 65-55. The victory was nothing new for Jackson as they're now sitting on three straight.
Jackson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryan Mcferran, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 22 rebounds. Mcferran has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last nine times he's played. Another player making a difference was Colby Cooke, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Redmond scored an imposing 68 points on Saturday, Skyline still came out on top. Skyline skirted past Redmond 70-68.
Jackson's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Skyline, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.
Jackson couldn't quite finish off Skyline in their previous matchup back in February of 2020 and fell 62-60. Can Jackson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
