Sunshine Bible Academy came into Monday's game having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 38-25 victory over Colome on Monday.
Abby Hinman had a dynamite game for Sunshine Bible Academy, dropping a triple-double on 17 points, 12 rebounds, and 17 steals. It was the first time this season that Hinman scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Annaliese VanZee, who scored five points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Iroquois/Lake Preston's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight defeat. They lost to St. Mary at home by a decisive 58-44 margin.
Sunshine Bible Academy's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-11. As for Iroquois/Lake Preston, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
Sunshine Bible Academy took a serious blow against Iroquois/Lake Preston in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 63-20. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Sunshine Bible Academy was down 33-10.
