There's no place like home for The Elkhorn Valley Falcons, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They breezed by Riverside at home to the tune of 50-20. The result was nothing new for Elkhorn Valley, who have now won three matchups by 26 points or more so far this season.
Mavrick Hagemann went supernova for Elkhorn Valley, rushing for 217 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Nitz, who threw for 161 yards and three touchdowns.
Elkhorn Valley's victory was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-8 North Central and 4-5 Neligh-Oakdale (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 38.9% over those games). As for Riverside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.
Elkhorn Valley will head out on the road to face off against Plainview at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Plainview will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. Riverside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
