The Crisp County Cougars were the 53-50 winner over the Sumter County Panthers when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Crisp County had to suffer through a rough 55-17 loss at the hands of Sumter County. Crisp County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Crisp County still got an impressive performance from Zametriuna Johnson, who scored 17 points. Johnson scored a full 100% of Crisp County's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Crisp County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Sumter County, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Crisp County will be playing in front of their home fans against Worth County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sumter County, they will head out on the road to face off against Tift County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
