The Kokomo Wildkats can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Marion 59-15 on the road. That 59-15 margin sets a new team best for Kokomo this season.
Aijia Elliott was her usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with six rebounds and four blocks. The match was her seventh in a row with at least ten points. Eliana Stewart was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven steals and five rebounds.
Kokomo now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Marion, they bumped their record down to 1-11 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kokomo will take on Northwestern at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Marion, they will head out on the road to face off against Fort Wayne North Side at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
