North Forsyth had lost 23 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 0-12 to make it 24. They lost 20-0 to the McMichael Phoenix. For McMichael's part, Kora Ingle made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Ingle has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, firing off three home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-4. What's more, she posted three runs, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, McMichael got a massive performance out of Samantha Hopson, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave Hopson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Wilson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
North Forsyth does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McMichael, they will take on Walkertown at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Phoenix 3.8, the Wolfpack 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
