Claremont found their leader in underclassman Yonael (Yona) Banko, who scored 25 points along with 5 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Banko has scored at least 25% of Claremont's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Xiao Hong (Tony) Wang, who scored 7 points along with 8 rebounds.
The win got Claremont back to even at 2-2. As for Bell Gardens, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Claremont's road trip will continue as they head out to face United Christian Academy at 3:00 p.m. on December 2nd. United Christian Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 464 points over their last seven contests. As for Bell Gardens, they will head out on the road to face off against California at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
