Arkport Central has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Canisteo-Greenwood Chargers at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Arkport Central posted their biggest win yet this season on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Campbell-Savona 76-30 at home.
Meanwhile, Canisteo-Greenwood waltzed into their game on Thursday with 12 straight wins but they left with 13. They beat Avoca-Prattsburgh by the very same score they won with last week: 64-43. Given Canisteo-Greenwood's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 197th, while Avoca-Prattsburgh is ranked 430th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Arkport Central is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Canisteo-Greenwood, they pushed their record up to 13-1 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road.
Arkport Central might still be hurting after the 61-40 loss they got from Canisteo-Greenwood in their previous matchup back in February of 2018. Can Arkport Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
