 In Saturday's  second game, Ashwaubenon didn't have quite enough to beat Bay Port and fell  2-1.
  Nick Smith was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  struck out nine batters over  6.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off   five  hits (and not a single walk).
 At the plate, Ashwaubenon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Issac Malvitz, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Meanwhile, West De Pere scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Friday. They put the hurt on New London with a sharp  11-4 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for West De Pere considering their one-run performance the  contest before.
 Ashwaubenon now  has a losing record at 2-3. As for West De Pere, their victory  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 3-3.
 Ashwaubenon beat West De Pere 6-1  in their previous meeting  back in May of 2023. Does  Ashwaubenon have another victory up their sleeve, or will West De Pere turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
